I challenged myself to build an affiliate website and make a profit in the first 12 months. I spent a total of $50 and successfully met my aim – creating a profitable web review site. I designed all the branding and handled the social media accounts, whilst also developing the website and content.
I used amazon affiliate links and Google Adwords within my review posts and made a commission from any sales. In addition to this I received products to review and partnered with a VR agency in America to promote VR content.

Branding as a whole (not just colours) is hugely important for any business. If you are using a variety of platforms like blogs, social media, personal website etc . Having great branding ties everything together and helps your audience to make the link and hopefully not forget. Furthermore, if you are trying to reach a particular audience (young surfers, vs mature gardeners vs recovering alcoholics) appropriate branding will actually attract these audiences to your content.
